   * What led up to the situation?

   The Fitlet3 from Compulab has a known problem with Debian (see:
   https://fit-pc.com/wiki/index.php?title=Fitlet3_Errata_Notes).
   I made some tests with a current Ubuntu (5.15.0-71-generic) without
   problems and Fedora (6.2.13-300.fc38.x86_64) also without problems.
   But I prefere Debian. Unfortunately neither the stable nor the testing
   kernel supports the Intel Ethernet PHY (Marvell 88E1512)) LAN interfaces.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

   After many unsuccessfull tests with different firmware packages and udev changes
   I tried to make my own custom Kernel including all the Debian Patches
   - without success.
   Then I tried a Vanilla Kernel without any Debian Patches - with
   success! (intel-eth-pci 0000:00:1d.1 eno1: Link is Up - 1Gbps/Full -
   flow control rx/tx)

   * What was the outcome of this action?

   In my mind there is a suspicion that some Debian patch is causing this problem.
   My kernel skills are very limited but maybe one hint: In the version with Debian Patches I can see:
       'kernel: pci 0000:00:1d.1: Adding to iommu group 11'
   This comes not with the unpatched working version.
