I am testing on bare metal.

As for the 6.1.y series kernel, the installation fails on my machine:

After manually installing the headers package, the installation
succeeded. I booted into the new kernel and its performance matches
the old working kernel (6.0.8), meaning that the regression seems to
have been fixed.
