Thanks, updated bug accordingly.
It may be useful to keep testing new updates, also from backports, but I
suspect this issue is not on the radar of upstream maintainers.

That is useful extra info :-) What is also useful that it appears to come from
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1971576

which I in turn learned via your forums.debian.net link. Please add any
relevant info you find (elsewhere) also to this bug report.

That launchpad bug indicated that the offending commit is:
380cd49e207ba4 ata: ahci: Add Green Sardine vendor ID as board_ahci_mobile

Which corresponds to 9a32d3c08d8ee2c3bf005399bbe17ca71d2536ea in the
linux-5.10.y branch and was added between v5.10.83 and v5.10.84, which fits in
the previous findings of 5.10.84-1 having the problem while 5.10.70-1 does not.

I guess this should be reported upstream? But I've only skimmed through the
launchpad bug, so there may be more useful things in there.

But having the result which a `git bisect` would return seems worth reporting.
