Dear Maintainer,

Sorry, this may not be a complete bug report, but I am happy to supply you with required information in a timely manner. On 2018-5-8, I
rebooted into 4.9.0-6, and observed various hangs since:

The symptom (as user) is increased load as sadc processes from sysstat (that I have added and configured) starting piling up.
Various network related commands will hang, iwconfig, ifconfig, even sudo but
su works. I tried trying strace/ltrace a few, and didn't see a pattern...
maybe dns lookups. ping works.

I no longer have the syslog file for the reboot prior 2018-5-8, but per
apt/history.log it was probably -5. Here are some complete traces, many
refer to 80211 (while I have a wifi card in this machine, I actually
use it wired):

I am getting mce hardware errors, however, I believe they seem to be a false
positive related to thermal events:

2018-05-24T03:35:04.913+00:00 vent kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: Machine check events logged
2018-05-24T03:35:04.913+00:00 vent kernel: CPU4: Package temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events = 1)

Reverting to -5.
