That's a different and actually correct message.
The bug is/was about an incorrect message.

That's a choice.
Using zstd has benefits and is (IIUC) now the default, so a warning (or an 
information) message seems useful (as long as it is correct).
It did notify me that I previously installed the 'wrong' zstd (related) 
package, so I could fix it.

If you feel that's the wrong choice, then I guess you could file a wishlist/
minor bug about that.

AFAIC this bug was fixed and appropriately closed before, but I'll leave it up 
to the maintainer to close it again.
