Bug#1022042: kernel 5.10.149-2 does not help

Excellent. I saw you already added that info to the upstream bug :-)

Alex Deucher (@agd5f) indicated the problem was caused by an incorrect 
backport to 5.10 and maybe the 2 identified ones aren't the only ones.

Given that switching to the radeon driver fixed the issue for you both, then I 
guess it's the same issue. So let's keep it to this bug, at least for now.
