After updating from linux-image-4.9.0-4-rt version 4.9.65-3+deb9u1 to linux-
image-4.9.0-5-rt version 4.9.65-3+deb9u2 when booting, when the kernel
reports something about changing the framebuffer, the computer starts beeping
and screen becomes filled with ghost copies of what was there before, at that
point I have to hard-reboot the machine. Booting with linux-image-4.9.0-4-rt
version 4.9.65-3+deb9u1 continues to work fine. Booting with version
4.9.65-3+deb9u2 also works fine, so the problem is only in the rt version.

I have a macbook pro 2011 with a radeon graphics card.

Can you still reproduce this issue with a recent kernel, like 5.10 from
current Debian Stable?
