The above mentioned commit is part of 5.16.3 and the version before that that was packaged and uploaded to Debian is 5.16~rc8-1~exp1 which you should be able to find on snapshot.debian.org. If the issue doesn't occur with either the reverted commit or with version 5.16~rc8-1~exp1, then it's likely that the mentioned commit is the culprit. HTH, Diederik
