Bug#996839: "Flame Graph template /usr/share/d3-flame-graph/d3-flamegraph-base.html does not exist."
Package: linux-perf-5.14
Version: 5.14.9-2
Severity: minor
"perf" can't show flamegraphs:
$ perf script report flamegraph
Flame Graph template
/usr/share/d3-flame-graph/d3-flamegraph-base.html does not exist. Please
install the js-d3-flame-graph (RPM) or libjs-d3-flame-graph (deb)
package, specify an existing flame graph template (--template PATH) or
another output format (--format FORMAT).
The given package name doesn't exist:
$ apt-get install libjs-d3-flame-graph
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package libjs-d3-flame-graph
And there's no other package for that:
$ LC_ALL=C apt-cache search flame.*graph
same when looking at
https://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=contents&keywords=d3-flamegraph-base&mode=filename&suite=unstable&arch=any,
sadly.
Would be great if flamegraphs would work OOTB!
