security update, on linux backports kernel (upgrade from 5.9 to 5.10) 

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

apt update && apt upgrade && reboot 

   * What was the outcome of this action?

wlan adapter was not available after reboot

dmesg has these lines: 
lspci | grep -i wire
02:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Wireless Network Adapter

dmesg contains these lines:

tried to install also latest firmware-realtek from unstable 
ii  firmware-realtek                        20210208-1                          all          Binary firmware for Realtek wired/wifi/BT adapters
but this did also not change anything. 


   * What outcome did you expect instead?

wlan working as before.
