Bug#980284: Additional information

Hello,

this behaviour also appears on Arch Linux: With Kernel Packages 5.9.x
there was no problem, since 5.10.x I have the same problem with ITE8708
CIR transceiver on NUC7PJYH and ITE8713 CIR transceiver on NUC5CPYB.
I'm using a rc-6 remote.

NUC7PJYH, with broken 5.10.11:

ir-keytable
Found /sys/class/rc/rc0/ with:
	Name: ITE8708 CIR transceiver
	Driver: ite-cir
	Default keymap: rc-rc6-mce
	Input device: /dev/input/event5
	LIRC device: /dev/lirc0
Supported kernel protocols: lirc rc-5 rc-5-sz jvc sony nec
sanyo mce_kbd rc-6 sharp xmp imon rc-mm
Enabled kernel protocols: lirc nec rc-6
	bus: 25, vendor/product: 1283:0000, version: 0x0000
Repeat delay = 500 ms, repeat period = 125 ms

ir-ctl -f
Receive features /dev/lirc0:
 - Device can receive raw IR
 - Can report decoded scancodes and protocol
 - Resolution 8 microseconds
 - Set receive carrier
 - Receiving timeout 1180480 microseconds
 - Can set receiving timeout min 1180480 microseconds, max 1250000
microseconds
Send features /dev/lirc0:
 - Device can send raw IR
 - IR scancode encoder
 - Set carrier
 - Set duty cycle

NUC5CPYB, with broken 5.10.11

ir-keytable
Found /sys/class/rc/rc0/ with:
	Name: ITE8713 CIR transceiver
	Driver: ite-cir
	Default keymap: rc-rc6-mce
	Input device: /dev/input/event4
	LIRC device: /dev/lirc0

With Kernel 5.9.14 the timing is different and everything works fine
(here for NUC5CPYB):

ir-ctl -f
Receive features /dev/lirc0:
 - Device can receive raw IR
 - Can report decoded scancodes and protocol
 - Resolution 8 microseconds
 - Set receive carrier
 - Receiving timeout 15625 microseconds
 - Can set receiving timeout min 1181 microseconds, max 1250000
microseconds
Send features /dev/lirc0:
 - Device can send raw IR
 - IR scancode encoder
 - Set carrier
 - Set duty cycle
