Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

My computer has installed two kernel version, after I apt-get install firmware-misc-nonfree,
only the laster(newest) version kernel's initrd.img updated.

I hope all initrd.img update when install firmware-misc-nonfree.

firmware is need by all kernel version which installed on the computer.

update-initramfs -u -k all ,perhaps use this commands in firmware-misc-nonfree.postinst is a good way.

It is very much possible to update all initramfs, but it might be
better to keep older ones untouched to not break previously bootable
images.

Closing this bug report as this decision was take quite some ago
and no important enough reason was given to change it.
Also policy discussions are usually better held on the mailing list.
