Package: i915
Version: firmware-misc-nonfree
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
Since the update to kernel 4.16 I can't prevent my Lenovo Yoga 910 from having
severe screen flicker when idle.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
Booting with option i.915.enable_rc6=0 prevented the flicker from happening.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
Since kernel 4.16 this does not work anymore. My research shows that the option
in question is not included in the firmware anymore.

Hi

This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself
without resolution.

If you can reproduce it with

- the current version in unstable/testing
- the latest kernel from backports

please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
for details.

Regards,
Salvatore
