Dear Maintainer,

I migrated an Apple Xserve 1,1 from Mac OS to Debian. I tried stretch before, which wouldn't
boot at all, but jessie did. So tried the jessie-backports kernel (4.8.11) and it turns out
that it experiences a kernel panic early in boot. In maybe 1 out of 10 cases it succesfully
boots, but mostly it crashes.
The kernel shipped with jessie (3.16) is booting fine, 4.8.x does not, so this is a blocker
for future upgrades on this hardware.
