- Subject: linux-image-4.7.0-0.bpo.1-amd64: Suspend 2 ram problems. Kernel oops and panic on wakeup
- From: arjun <arjunkc.automail@gmail.com>
- Date: Thu, 10 Nov 2016 23:19:27 -0700
- Message-id: <20161111061927.18373.81093.reportbug@arjundesktop.home>
Package: src:linux
Version: 4.7.8-1~bpo8+1
Severity: important
Wakeup from suspend to ram fails after fourth or fifth suspend and
wakeup event. I followed the kernel documentation for s2ram. I get the same crashes with
in kernel 4.7.6 with pm_trace enabled.
$ cat /proc/sys/pm_trace_dev_match
shows
input
microsoft
The magic number that shows up in dmesg (I don't know if this is relevant is)
[ 1.254974] Magic number: 8:694:2
There are no lines of the form "hash matched". In a previous run, I got
$ cat /sys/power/pm_trace_dev_match
tty
usb
Full logs to be found here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/96020841/configs/misc/crash-logs/arjundesktop-2016-11-07.tar.gz
Similar crash on kernel 4.7.6 but compiled with some extra pm debugging
options: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/96020841/configs/misc/crash-logs/arjundesktop-2016-11-07.tar.gz
The error messages I see on wakeup are not in the log. The tail end of
the call trace can be found in the following pictures.
