Hi,

Using an APU2 from pcengines, and debian stretch (uptodate, x64), when I blacklist the i2c_piix4 modules and load sp5100_tco for watchdog, I got :

No /dev/watchdog (or /dev/watchdog0) is created.

Is it a bug? How can I help to debug?

This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself
without resolution.

If you can reproduce it with

- the current version in unstable/testing
- the latest kernel from backports

please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
