Dear Maintainer,

I sometimes cannot change the brightness of the display (neither using
Fn+F1/F2 neither via putting numbers to
/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness,
/sys/class/backlight/panasonic/brightness exists, too, but doesn't seem
to have any effect.

The effect both happens with using BIOS and UEFI.

I am currently using a BIOS setup. During several days of usage I was
not able to change the brightness, so I tried to follow the hints on
https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Kernel/Debugging/Backlight (I am not including
the acpidump results suggested there as I assume they contain non-free
copyrighted data).

I tried booting with video.use_bios_initial_backlight=0, acpi_osi= and
video.use_native_backlight=1 (one after another) and changing brightness
always worked, as it did afterwards without any kernel parameter.
