Package: linux-source-5.3
Version: 5.3.9-3
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

  Compilation of the source.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Standard error contained (from GNU Awk 5.0.1, API: 2.0 (GNU MPFR
4.0.2, GNU MP 6.1.2)):

awk: arch/x86/tools/gen-insn-attr-x86.awk:260: warning: regexp escape sequence `\:' is not a known regexp operator
awk: arch/x86/tools/gen-insn-attr-x86.awk:350: (FILENAME=arch/x86/lib/x86-opcode-map.txt FNR=41) warning: regexp escape sequence `\&' is not a known regexp operator

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

  Empty output from standard error.

N.B. "awk" is used, but the package is not maked as to depend on it!

Also, it is not mentioned in Documentation/Changes.
