The docking station headphone plug stopped working after upgrading to 3.16. The problem matches the description for T440 which can be found here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1101386

But in my case it stopped working after the patch https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound.git/commit/sound/pci/hda/patch_realtek.c?id=1c37c22332a2d2c1b4ab32177a4f847c7fe06e38 was applied

expected:

 * headphones/speakers get plugged in
 * sound on the speaker is reduced and the headphones output is activated (pulseaudio magic?)

what happens:

 * headphones/speakers get plugged in
 * no mixer changes
 * I cannot hear anything anymore

Interestingly, it works fine when using the headphone plug on the laptop instead of the docking station. But in my setup I cannot use the laptop plug because the speakers are all the time connected to the docking station.

Hi

This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself
without resolution.

If you can reproduce it with

- the current version in unstable/testing
- the latest kernel from backports

please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
for details.

Regards,
Salvatore
