Package: src:linux
Version: 3.14.2-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

$ aptitude dist-upgrade

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

$ reboot

   * What was the outcome of this action?

The display had the maximum brightness and could not dimmed by using the dim
buttons

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

That things work like they did in 3.13.

    * Workaround 1:

Boot linux-image-3.13-1-amd64

    * Workaround 2:

$ echo 0 > /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness
After doing this, everything works as expected.
