Source: linux-image-3.13-1-686-pae
Version: 3.15.5-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrading from kernel 3.2 to 3.10 or 3.13, I wasn't able properly to capture video with my webcam nor my capture card. It happens that video is captured as if it's been fast-forwarded, while the audio captures at normal speed.

I'm using Mencoder to capture the video. What's interesting is that when using Mplayer to reproduce the video directly from the device (webcam or capture card), it does it at normal speed. So, I can't capture video using kernel 3.10 or 3.13, but if I boot kernel 3.2, I can capture with no inconvenience.

I don't know if the bug is in the kernel itself, or in v4l, or in mencoder. But I think that this is more kernel-related.

Thank you.

Hi

This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself
without resolution.

If you can reproduce it with

- the current version in unstable/testing
- the latest kernel from backports

please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
for details.

Regards,
Salvatore
