Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
When I upgraded to testing, with kernel at 3.10.3, I found that the display backlight keyboard shortcuts do not work, (they do on things like Fedora and Kubuntu with newer kernels), so it may be a configuration option mising.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Using 3.2 kernel from Wheezy, keyboard shortcuts work.
* What was the outcome of this action?
See previous
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Keyboard buttons need to work.

Hi This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself without resolution. If you can reproduce it with - the current version in unstable/testing - the latest kernel from backports please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control for details. Regards, Salvatore
