Package: src:linux
Version: 3.10.7-1
Severity: normal

My klog is flooded with this kind of messages:

	snd_pcm_update_hw_ptr0: 21 callbacks suppressed

I've seen that with kernel versions since 3.2 (and even earlier, if my
memory doesn't fail me).

I was pointed to an ubuntu patch that is supposed to solve the problem:

	https://launchpadlibrarian.net/147740694/0001-UBUNTU-SAUCE-pcm_lib-ifdef-call-to-printk_ratelimit-.patch

See:

	https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-manta/+bug/1213136

and:

	http://code.google.com/p/ddb/issues/detail?id=970

Would it be possible to pick that up?

Hi

This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself
without resolution.

If you can reproduce it with

- the current version in unstable/testing
- the latest kernel from backports

please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
for details.

Regards,
Salvatore
