Package: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 Version: 3.2.39-1 Severity: normal --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Hi there, GNOME shell gets broken with this kernel version on my Radeon HD 6670/TURKS generation GPU. GDM3 still works, but it seems as soon as gnome-shell wants to use GPU acceleration the whole screen gets scrambled. Only the mousecursor appears normally and it can be moved around. dmesg spits out a lot of messages like those: Feb 25 22:16:12 localhost kernel: [ 73.623472] radeon 0000:02:00.0: evergreen_surface_value_conv_check:330 cb invalid array mode 6 Feb 25 22:16:12 localhost kernel: [ 73.623478] radeon 0000:02:00.0: evergreen_packet3_check:2096 invalid cmd stream 524 Feb 25 22:16:12 localhost kernel: [ 73.623481] [drm:radeon_cs_ib_chunk] *ERROR* Invalid command stream ! Hi This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself without resolution. If you can reproduce it with - the current version in unstable/testing - the latest kernel from backports please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control for details. Regards, Salvatore
