Package: src:linux
Version: 4.9.110-3+deb9u5
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

After latest security updates of two packages (linux-image-4.9.0-8-amd64
4.9.110-3+deb9u and linux-libc-dev 4.9.110-3+deb9u5) and subsequent system
reboot some ethernet device names reverted back to old naming scheme of
eth*.
By some I mean those devices which are supposed to be a part of a bridge
so they are not configured to get an IP address. One other ethernet device
which is not part of the bridge and configured for DHCP retained its name
(enp2s9). Wi-Fi device retained it's name as well (wlp2s10) although it
also is part of the bridge.

On this machine network devices are configured in /etc/systemd/network/
