Sorry, forgot to mention that I had also tested Ubuntu's vanilla-ish
5.6.14 kernel build
(https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.6.14/), and that
works correctly, so I'm not sure what to make of that.
