Bug#950324: /boot/vmlinuz-5.4.0-3-marvell: 5.4.0-3-marvell vmlinuz too large for QNAP TS119 mtd, "Not enough space for kernel" error
Package: src:linux
Version: 5.4.13-1
Severity: important
File: /boot/vmlinuz-5.4.0-3-marvell
Dear Maintainer,
I tried updating from linux-image-4.19.0-5-marvell to linux-image-5.4.0-3-marvell.
During installation, the update fails with the following message:
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-5.4.0-3-marvell
cp: cannot stat '/lib/libnss_files*': No such file or directory
W: initramfs-tools configuration sets RESUME=UUID=e112d071-5e16-4f31-80eb-d3a16202ce4c
W: but no matching swap device is available.
I: The initramfs will attempt to resume from /dev/sda3
I: (UUID=fc5a8dda-223b-477a-9c72-16bcc25b6877)
I: Set the RESUME variable to override this.

flash-kernel: installing version 5.4.0-3-marvell
Not enough space for kernel in MTD 'Kernel' (need 2165432 but is actually 2097152).
run-parts: /etc/initramfs/post-update.d//flash-kernel exited with return code 1
$ ls -lrt /boot/vmlinuz-*

$ cat /sys/class/mtd/mtd1/size
2097152
/boot/vmlinuz-5.4.0-3-marvell is too large and can't be flashed to /dev/mtd1.
Thank you
