Bug#949539: linux-image-4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64: virtio-rng.ko moduel is not present
Package: src:linux
Version: 4.19.67-2+deb10u2
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
The virtio-rng.ko is not present cloud image kernel package:
debian@dm-test1:~$ locate virtio
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/drivers/virtio
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/drivers/block/virtio_blk.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/drivers/char/virtio_console.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/drivers/net/virtio_net.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/drivers/scsi/virtio_scsi.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/drivers/virtio/virtio.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/drivers/virtio/virtio_balloon.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/drivers/virtio/virtio_input.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/drivers/virtio/virtio_mmio.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/drivers/virtio/virtio_pci.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/drivers/virtio/virtio_ring.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/net/vmw_vsock/vmw_vsock_virtio_transport.ko
/usr/lib/modules/4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/kernel/net/vmw_vsock/vmw_vsock_virtio_transport_common.ko
This can further be confirmed via the package file list
https://packages.debian.org/buster/amd64/linux-image-4.19.0-6-cloud-amd64/filelist
However, the module is present in the non-cloud package:
https://packages.debian.org/buster/amd64/linux-image-4.19.0-6-amd64/filelist
It is also present in the cloud package of the buster-packports package:
https://packages.debian.org/buster-backports/amd64/linux-image-5.4.0-0.bpo.2-cloud-amd64/filelist
If it is preset in the non-cloud package, and the backported cloud package,
shouldn't it also be present in the 'default' cloud package as well?
