Bug#927384: hyperv-daemons: hv_kvp_daemon package seems to now have a hard coded path for hv_get_* scripts
Package: hyperv-daemons
Version: 4.19.28-2
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
Upgraded a test VM to buster. I have some existing scripts that
provide the results
needed by hv_kvp_daemon to get the dns/dhcp information. These scripts are in
`/usr/local/bin` the updated package no longer finds or uses these
scripts at that path..
Apparently the updated version of hv_kvp_daemon has the path for these
scripts now
hard coded to '/usr/libexec/hypervkvpd/'.
Change seems to have been part of `commit
2eb72d4b790c0798d077cd69739350e10288dbf1`
Link: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/2eb72d4b790c0798d077cd69739350e10288dbf1
This probably should be mentioned in a changelog for the
hyperv-daemons package a README, or something.
I wonder if Debian should consider changing this to another path,
since the default path doesn't exist?
Thanks,
Chris
