This does not break the entire system, does not break unrelated software
(we can't say that GL applications are unrelated to GL drivers), and
does not cause severe data loss or a system-wide security flaw, so I
don't think it qualifies for "critical" severity.

I'm reducing this bug's severity to "important" (defined as "has a major
effect on the usability of a package, without rendering it completely
unusable to everyone").
