Bug#945140: linux-image-5.3.0-2-amd64: system occasionally hangs for several minutes

Package: src:linux
Version: 5.3.9-2
Severity: important

Since yesterday, the system occasionally hangs for several minutes.
When this happens, I can observe in the journalctl output:

Nov 19 02:28:43 zira rtkit-daemon[752]: The canary thread is apparently starving. Taking action.
Nov 19 02:28:43 zira rtkit-daemon[752]: Demoting known real-time threads.

Nov 20 12:33:38 zira rtkit-daemon[747]: Demoted 0 threads.

Possibly related, with also the messages about rtkit-daemon:

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1712858

"Occasionally, the system freezes: display does not show mouse move,
clock display does not update itself, ssh impossible."

Ditto here. It is also said "But the machine remains pingable"
but I have not tried ping.
