Linux 5.3 crashes X1 snd_hda_intel resetting bus

Hi there

I am experiencing a pretty wild X1 Carbon issue with linux 5.3 (suspend,
crashes, keyboard freezes)?

Running Debian unstable, image 5.3 installed on 22 October.

The system seems to have trouble coming out of suspend. Earlier today it
completely locked up. I had to reset it, using the reset key, for the
first time in .... months/a year or more.

But immediately after rebooting, the system locked up again, making a
terrifying sound, as if it was a drone lifting off. That happened while
Firefox restored a bunch of tabs.

It took a few seconds for the reset key to respond.

By default sound is off (Fn, F1 key is lit) but not (not yet?) this
time.

Checking the logs, the only error that pops up, afaict, is lots of these:

snd_hda_intel 0000:00:1f.3: No response from codec, resetting bus: last
cmd=0x20270503

which gives me a few hits to similar reports.

Reverting to linux-image 5.2 for now.
