Updated patch works but had a rough time during the build procedure because zstd is used by btrfs as well:

Accordingly, in order for the build to proceed past the kernel-wedge show stopper, I had to

touch debian/installer/amd64/ignore-dups

i.e.,

Find duplicate modules. Pass the kernel name.
