Looks like the driver has been upstreamed since 4.12 and is used by default for the SD card in DT. 4.9 from Debian stable boots on RPi2 for me, but 4.12 from testing and sid does not, since it does not detect the SD card. Please add CONFIG_MMC_BCM2835=m to 4.12+. -- Sebastian
