I see many messages in the kernel mailing list referencing i915 with FIFO underruns and other issues. I have seen at least 1 other message posted after 2017-07-23 that references a network card, and several that relate to video and a couple for other products. But, the common thread I see in all these bug reports is that it only seems to occur in the 4.9 kernels and higher.

Can someone indicate if there is a person or group of people investigating this "i915" commonality in the several bug reports?

BTW, I appologize for not searching for bugs that were somewhat similar before submitting a narrow minded bug report.

Thanks for maintaining a Debian kernel.
