Since kernel version 4.9.2-2 I get the following line in dmesg for each 
core in my system, except CPU0. (when booting under Xen) :

I did not get these messages with kernel 4.8.15-2. 
When I get a bug nr back, I'll attach the full dmesg output with 
4.8.15-2 and also with 4.9.2-2

On lkml [1] (and also on xen-devel [2]) there is a proposed patch which
looks like it will be offered to Linus for 4.11.
IIRC Debian Stretch will be released with kernel 4.10, so you may
consider including the patch earlier then upstream.
