Bug#875621: linux: ThinkPad X270 Synaptics touchpad: please enable CONFIG_RMI4_SMB

Package: src:linux

Version: 4.14.7-1

Followup-For: Bug #875621

This report is about the Lenove X1 Carbon 5th generation.

Some reported that CONFIG_RMI4_SMB should be enabled now, but it doesn't

look that way to me. I queried the kernel config files for various

kernel versions and they all show it is not enabled.

This report contains details from 2 4.14 kernel versions and one with an

extra kernel option which should help, but it didn't for me.

Initial data collection started with kernel 4.14.2-1 and finished with

version 4.14.7-1, hence the odd output with 'aptitude versions ...'.
