Hi,

I also got some hardware refusing to boot with this bug :
HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9

The crash is instant, right after GRUB loads the kernel and initramfs.

Partial backtrace (re-typed from a KVM screen capture) :

I got the same problem after upgrading my system to Debian 8.10 on VM (VMware / 10-cores) / HP DL370G7 platform.

After restarting the system diden't boot (grub - kernel panic). This is big production system so I had to hurry with restore and I didn't copy any info frommy logs.

Some minutes leater I've done sucessfuly upgrade to 8.10 the system of another VM (VMware / 4-cores) on HP DL360G5 platform.

Best regards
Slawek
