Package: src:linux Version: 4.9.30-2+deb9u3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, In d/changelog, I read there's support for "DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=parallel=N", but this setting seems broken. No actual parallel compiling is proceeded, as I spotted by running "uptime" command several times during building. Is anything else need to be set, or parallel building is turned off because some other bugs? Cheers, -- Roger Shimizu, GMT +9 Tokyo PGP/GPG: 4096R/6C6ACD6417B3ACB1

It works for me and it looks like it works on the buildds. I use the dpkg-buildpackage -j option rather than directly setting an environment variable. It might be that the way you start the build replaces or deletes this variable. Ben. -- Ben Hutchings Teamwork is essential - it allows you to blame someone else.Attachment: signature.asc
