This is not actually a new bug.  UUID and LABEL syntax was also broken
in jessie, but the fallback code (which used to be quiet, and is now
verbose) apparently worked well enough that no-one noticed!  And it was
the one case I forgot to test.

Anyway, I'll fix this shortly.
