On our HP boxes running stretch or a jessie-backports kernel, the
hp-health monitoring tools no longer want to start.

daemon.log says:

It looks like this was reported last month at
https://www.spinics.net/lists/kernel/msg2460830.html but I'm not seeing
a resolution there.
