Subject: linux-image-4.7.0-1-amd64: cannot purge: rmdir: failed to remove '/lib/modules/4.7.0-1-amd64': Directory not empty
Package: src:linux
Version: 4.7.6-1
Severity: normal

Purging the package fails if its directory below /lib/modules is already
removed:

(Læser database ... 287580 filer og kataloger installeret i øjeblikket.)
Afinstallerer linux-image-4.7.0-1-amd64 (4.7.6-1) ...
Renser ud i konfigurationsfilerne for linux-image-4.7.0-1-amd64 (4.7.6-1)...
rmdir: kunne ikke fjerne '/lib/modules/4.7.0-1-amd64': Ingen sådan fil eller filkatalog
dpkg: fejl under behandling af pakken linux-image-4.7.0-1-amd64 (--purge):
underproces installerede post-removal-script returnerede afslutningsstatus 1

Above is in danish, but I guess keywords are similar enough to english to
recognize what is happening.

Workaround was to add an empty directory.

 - Jonas

P.S. I actually cheated a bit for the subject line: I copied the
seemingly identical but english string from bug#841453

You deliberately opened a duplicate bug? What was the point of that?

Ben.

One of the nice things about standards is that there are so many of
them.
