Bug#816106: Suspend Bug, Severity: High

yes, it's probably kernel because the same exact thing happens for 'Linux ponyea 4.2.0-30-generic #35-Ubuntu SMP Fri Feb 19 13:52:26 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux'

if you guys need any more info i'm all ears.

Okay. i tried from a live ubuntu stick. and echo mem > /sys/power/state does suspend. but the system
revives (unlike a spinning hard disk) but eats itself a bit more slowly than a hard disk setup. firefox cannot allocate memory for
new tabs or web pages. it simply resets. i can still ping, but that program is probably in the cache i reckon.

So, as it seems this has nothing to do specifically with systemd and is
either a hardware or driver/kernel issue.
Reassigning to the linux kernel.
