Bug#775541: NFS mounts from /etc/fstab can fail w/out network-manager
Control: retitle -1 NFS mounts from /etc/fstab can fail w/out network-manager
I also can confirm that the work-around provided by Shinichiro Hida works for me as well.
I removed network-manager recently. I wasn't able to figure out why my desktop (running stretch) suddenly stopped mounting an nfs share on a NAS appliance on boot-up.
nfs-common = 1:1.2.8-9
The pertinent line from my fstab:
metis.local:/volume2/zeus_vol2 /mnt/metis nfs defaults 0 0
Thank you Shininchiro-san for the additional diagnosis and work-around. Thank you Andreas Weber for highlighting Shinichiro's work-around.
Let me (us) know if additional information can be provided to help reproduce.
Kind regards, Ken March
