Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.32-9
Severity: important
Tags: squeeze
The kernel saa7134 module is blocking a v4l2 application as soon as
another v4l2 application tries to open the same device,
which is already used by the first v4l2 application.
For example:
$ sudo rmmod saa7134
$ sudo modprobe saa7134 video_debug=1 ts_debug=1 core_debug=1 irq_debug=1
# in first terminal
$ xawtv -debug 1 -noxv -nodga -c /dev/video0
.... good v4l capture in grab(no overlay) mode
# in second terminal
$ xawtv -debug 1 -noxv -nodga -c /dev/video0
....
v4l2: new capture params (384x288, BGR3, 331776 byte)
setformat: 24 bit TrueColor (LE: bgr) (384x288): ok
v4l2: buf 0: video-cap 0x0+331776, used 0
v4l2: buf 1: video-cap 0x51000+331776, used 0
ioctl: VIDIOC_STREAMON(int=1): Device or resource busy
main: setting defaults
v4l2: freq: 268435455,938
xt: enter main event loop...
ioctl: VIDIOC_DQBUF(index=0;type=VIDEO_CAPTURE;bytesused=0;flags=0x0 [];field=ANY;;timecode.type=0;timecode.flags=0;timecode.frames=0;timecode.seconds=0;timecode.minutes=0;timecode.hours=0;timecode.userbits="";sequence=0;memory=MMAP): Недопустимый аргумент

At this point, the xawtv(1) is completed properly
and the xawtv(2) is blocked forever.
