start working again. Did the default change for 4.9?

This was a documented change (in the changelog and in NEWS in the
metapackage).  However, it was reverted in 4.8.15-1 as it also broke
some newer (than wheezy) packages using dietlibc.  That change will be
included in the next upload of 4.9 as well.
