Package: src:linux Version: 4.5-1~exp1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? Installed linux-image-4.5.0-trunk-amd64 and rebootet. No 3rd party modules added yet. * What was the outcome of this action? Boot proceeds as usual until the point where it usually loads radeon KMS module (last message: radeon kernel modesetting enabled, as usual). Screen is turns dark for a second (as usual) and then I see a flood of "ACPI Error: No handler... for GPE xy, disabling event (...)" messages (where xy is changing: 00, 1A, 1B. This goes on for 2..10 seconds (it varies). And then screen is turned dark (either with backlight on or off, it varies...). That's it, only hard power-off with the power button helps. I tried booting manually into bash as init, and loaded radeon manually - and it worked just fine. I also loaded a couple of ACPI modules that I knew from memory, and this also worked without any anomalies. I could try loading all regular modules one by one and look where it starts breakin - would it help? Best Regards, Eduard. -- Package-specific info: ** Kernel log: boot messages should be attached ** Model information sys_vendor: LENOVO product_name: 20BC0006GE product_version: ThinkPad Edge E145 chassis_vendor: LENOVO chassis_version: Not Available bios_vendor: LENOVO bios_version: HSET57WW (2.02 ) board_vendor: LENOVO board_name: 20BC0006GE board_version: Not Defined ** PCI devices: 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
