hello Ben, running the command you suggested returns: root@g6 (~) % grep -r dvb.usb.rtl28xxu /etc/modprobe.* /lib/modprobe.d /etc/modprobe.d/rtl-sdr-blacklist.conf:blacklist dvb_usb_rtl28xxu root@g6 (~) % rtl-sdr-blacklist.conf says it is installed by librtlsdr0, which is for Realtek based DVB-T tuners. Thus I ran: $ apt-get purge librtlsdr0 Now the blacklist lines are gone from /etc/modprobe.d/rtl-sdr- blacklist.conf. Thank you very much for your help.
