Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
I wanted to install the 'openssh-client' package.
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
	I typed 'sudo apt-get install openssh-client'.
   * What was the outcome of this action?
apt-get ended with the error 'groupadd: failure while writing changes to /etc/group'
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Faultless installation of the 'openssh-client' package.

This is not a bug.

I use firejail from jessie-backports with Iceweasel and found that firejail mounts tmpfs over /etc/group on older kernels. (see [1])

So the hint with the different namespaces was correct.
