Brightness control works with older debian package linux-image-4.4.0-1-amd64.
It also works with my manually compiled kernel 4.4.6.
Before linux-image-4.5.0-1-amd64 appeared I tried to compile it manually, but I always had this brightness control problem.
Now I see that the same problem appears with the Debian linux-image-4.5.0-1-amd64 package,
so probably this is just a kernel bug.
